Information for companies regarding their Form W-2s.

Processing

Unless you placed a hold on your W-2s, your forms were produced following your final payroll of 2021. Form W-2s were available for delivery and pickup starting the first week of January.

Delivery

Your Form W-2s will be delivered via your regular payroll delivery method, unless you indicated otherwise.

Distribution

You must provide your employees with their copy of the Form W-2 by January 31st. If you are unable to locate an employee, you should keep that employee's Form W-2 for up to four years.

Employees

Information for employees regarding their Form W-2.

Employers are required by law to provide employees their Form W-2 no later than January 31st.

Once your employer releases the Forms W-2s, you can download an electronic copy from MyStack. Here are the steps to take:

  1. Log into MyStack.
  2. Click Pay History then Tax Forms.
  3. Click View Tax Forms.
  4. Click Print Selected Tax Form to view your Form W-2.

Please note: Not all companies utilize the ECCA Payroll+ employee portal - MyStack. If you are unable to log in, you must contact your employer for your Form W-2.

If you believe any information is incorrect on your Form W-2, you should inform your employer. They will take the necessary steps to make any corrections.

Employers have until January 31st to provide employees with their Form W-2. If the form was mailed, it's possible it is currently in transit or was returned due to an incorrect address. You should contact your employer to confirm if and how the form was distributed. If applicable, verify they have your current address on file.

If you do not receive your Form W-2 by the end of February, the IRS has recommended steps you should take.

Even if you are no longer an active employee, a company is still obligated to provide you with a Form W-2 by January 31st.
